Rebuilt in 1975 as composite aircraft incorporating msn 289 and msn 22487 taking on identity of the former. Active with Rich until 1983, thereafter stored Miami. Southwest Aviation 1989, ferried to las Cruces, NM and stored. Acquired by Yanks Air Museum 2000 and flown to Chino, CA. Still unrestored in faded Rich colours 2018.

Acquired by Lufthansa Berlin Stiftung 2006 together with N974R and N8083H, restoration started 2008 in a purpose built hangar. With costs soaring project was cancelled 2018 with the aircraft being dismantled.

Registered N8610 2020.

Acquired by United Technologies 2005 and donated to Koreanair. Flown to Aviation College at Cheju Island, displayed as HL4003 in Air Korea colours to resemble a L-1649 from the late 1960's.
