The Super Catalina STC replaced R-1830 engines with R-2600s which required a larger distinctive angular tail as seen here. This luxury private barge also includes rear stair, modified blister windows and what looks like weather radar on the right wing. Spot of engine trouble here judging by the removed cowlings. Sadly in 1972 it sank in the Mediterranean Sea off Monaco when the hull got holed.

The first five windows are blanked so likely carrying cargo on a USAF/MAC combi charter. In those days there was a public viewing area with three-foot railing on the terminal roof. As can be seen from the bottom RH corner, I was not above hopping over the railing if necessary to get my shot!
