WFU over the back of the airfield. Delivered to the RAF on 28 Jul 1949. SOC 15 Jul 1971 at 5MU Kemble. To Wattisham as a ground instruction trainer and later to the Newark Air Museum where it is currently preserved in 247 Squadron markings.

Delivered to the RAF as WL332 in 1952. Later tranferred to the Royal Navy. To Moston College, Woodford in 1969 then to the Wales Air Museum in 1977. Moved to Long Marston in 1990 where its condition deteriorated. To the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre, Newquay in 2020 which was forced to close in 2023.

Delivered to the RAF as WA662 in 1950. Assigned to the Royal Aircraft Establishment - Llanbedr. Preserved at the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum (Aeroventure) at Doncaster from 1994.

My late father started his advanced flying training on 25 February 1953 with 203 AFS based at RAF Driffield in Yorkshire. He was on a solo flight, exercise 14 which was for aerobatics according to his flight log. He was assigned Meteor IV VT240 code O-25. On completing the sortie he was cleared to land. On landing before he had cleared the runway there was a big bang and he ended up on the grass. On running clear and looking back he saw he had been hit by Meteor T7 WL413 which took off his tail. WL413 was delivered on 24 Jul 1952. Repaired after accident. Last noted Farnborough 24 Feb 1966.

Operated by the Central Flying School as part of the Vintage Pair. On a refuelling stop on a sunny Sunday at EMA. Delivered to the RAF in 1950. Sadly lost in a collision with the Vampire at the Mildenhall Air Fete on 25 May 1986.

Displayed at the entrance to Staverton from 1976. Its last flight was with 229OCU coded Z in January 1974. It gained the 28 Sqn bars whilst with 229 OCU in 1973.

Delivered to the RAF as VZ638 in 1949. Preserved at Southend from 1972. Sold and registered as G-JETM in 1984 after the museum closed. Preserved at Gatwick by 1989.

Previously 7MU Quedgeley's gate guard from 30 November 1965 as 7895M, then preserved with the Jet Age Museum at Staverton from 30 May 1996. Sold to South Wales Aviation Museum in September 2021.

Delivered to the RAF as WF791 in 1951. Used by the Vintage Pair display team. Destroyed in a fatal crash at an airshow at Coventry in 1988.

Involved in a mid air collision with the Vintage Pair Vampire T11 XH304 on the day after this photo was taken.
