US Army L-20 53-2829 was delivered April 24 1954. It was one of a number of ex Army Beavers bought by B - M Aviation and stored at Lachute, QC in 1973. Put on the Canadian Register circa 1979 after rebuild, the aircraft remained in the Province of Quebec until sold in 2019 to Clark's Northern Lights Resort.

First flight in 1957, ex CF-MAV and C-FMAV, to SE-BIO 17 April 1996 SE-BIO, and LN-BIE in April 2001. It was operated by Fonnafly with private owners, and based at the "Sjøflyhavna", the original seaplane base opened 1 April 1939, and still open for small floatplanes after Fornebu closed. LN-BIE was sold to Clipper Aviation Flensburg, Germany 19 July 2006 and possibly withdrawn from use the following year.

Previously with Trans-Provincial Airlines 1974 - 78, C-GHCT is pictured after service with Head Bay Logging. Leased to Tradewinds Aviation in April 1980, the aircraft was damaged in an accident during filming a movie in 1981. Salvaged and stored, the aircraft took flight again circa 1992 as C-GSIH. Later registrations N323RS and C-GATJ, it's most recently N733PF with Master Aviation LLC since October 2023.

Rarely seen Colombian DHC-2 Beaver in action! She came out from between the hangars and was taken for a 6 minute circuit over the city and back.

Originally US Army 55-4603, this Beaver was sold surplus in June 1977, becoming N3314F and registered to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources by January 1977. Registered in Canada as C-GKPJ in 1981, it flew less than 150 hours a year before sold in the USA as N997DH in March 1985. Pictured during restoration for the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum who acquired the aircraft in 2021. This gem of a collection is located in nearby Hood OR at Ken Jernstedt Airfield (4S2).

Fitted with skis for flightseeing trips from Talkeetna to Denali. Damaged in an accident the previous year, in June 2002. After an uneventful landing on the Tokositna Glacier, 30 miles to the northwest, and while repositioning up the glacier to disembark passengers, the tail wheel caught in a hole in hard-packed snow and the left elevator dug in. Repaired and recovered. Later more substantially damaged in July 2014 when fitted with a bulk fuel tank to supply remote communities. Overran a wet and muddy short grass strip while departing, the pilot unknowingly still carrying the full load of fuel

A bit of a mystery is this Beaver preserved in the Colombian Aerospace Museum. Until at least 1997, msn 297 was preserved in the museum, but this aircraft was put up for sale in 2003. The Beaver in the picture, with a dent visible in the wing, appeared in the museum in 2004...

Built in 1957 as CF-JXP. Served with ten different Canadian operators before export to Anchorage in 1991 as N930TG. Later operating for Iliaska Lodge, Iliamna, Alaska. In a 1999 dawn takeoff accident from a lake near Iliamna, in a rolling swell, the aircraft lost its floats and sank. Recovered and rebuilt. Moved to Ketchikan with RdM Pilot/Guide Ltd in 2006. In another take off accident in 2017 while operating for Alaska Seaplane Tours, capsized and sank to the bottom of Big Goat Lake, 25 miles east of Ketchikan, with the pilot and six cruise ship passengers swimming safely to the shore. Subsequently salvaged.

Built in 1948 for the Province of Ontario and remained in Canada all its life. Here it has recently emerged after a lengthy rebuild and is visiting from its Pitt Meadows (CYPK) base.

Moored at the water's edge on Lake Hood, Anchorage, carrying the colours of the Alaska Civil Air Patrol. Delivered new to the US Army in 1955 as L-20A 53-7945. Joined the Civil Air Patrol fleet in 1977. From 2016, operating with Sheldon Air Service, including flight seeing trips and glacier landings from Talkeetna, Alaska. Overhauled and repainted into a smart two-tone grey and white colour scheme at Sealand of Campbell River, British Columbia in 2019.

Taxiing out from the Air-Dale dock on the south side of Hawk Lake, where it is usually based for the summer season. Delivered new to the USAF in 1952 as L-20A 52-6072. Began its civil career as N1059. Imported to Canada in 1977 as C-GQXI of Air-Dale, whose headquarters base is at Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario.

Moored beside and below Alaska Highway 1 at the southwest end of Beluga Lake, Homer, Alaska. Delivered new to the USAF in 1952 as L-20A 51-16560. Began its civilian career as N17396 in 1976. Became N111EB in 1977. Registered to Wolf Trail Lodge, Anchorage from 1990. Later operating for Uyak Air Services, Kodiak, Alaska.

Moored at its Lake Hood base in early morning sunshine. Carries the Bush Pilots Air Service logo on its fin. In an unusual modification from the late 1980s, it has been given both an oblong window and a porthole window aft of the fuselage door. The porthole widow was later removed. Delivered new to the US Army in 1957 as 56-0388. Its military career included service in the Belgian Congo with the United Nations Air Wing No. 3 Squadron. From 2006 operated out of Fairbanks as Marina Air. In 2016 reregistered as N11YA to Heather J. Fox of Bettles, Alaska.

Moored at its parking spot on the water's edge of Lake Hood. Delivered to the US Army in 1957 as 56-0398. Became N88788 in 1973. Joined Regal Air at Anchorage as N9878R the following year, in May 1991. Destroyed in a sadly fatal takeoff accident in the initial climb, east of Willow Seaplane Base, Alaska, in July 2018.
