Its civil registration I-AMDA stands for AerMacchi Digital Avionics and in 1988 the plane flew a demonstration tour in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Australia. It made its last flight in March 1997 and was then stored at Venegono, before being loaned to Volandia in 2010 by Alenia Aermacchi.
