Delivered to Channel Airways as G-AVYB in 1968. To Northeast Airlines in 1971. I flew on it from Heathrow to Palma in 1972. Merged into British Airways in 1974, Scrapped at Heathrow in 1981. Fuselage section to Ewyas Harold, Herefordshire for ground traning by the SAS. Last noted in 1993.

Registered as G-ATNA in 1965 before delivery to PIA as AP-ATK in 1966. Sold to the Chinese Air Force as 50056 in 1970 then to the CAAC as B-232 in 1975. Back to the Air Force as 50051 in 1980. Preserved at the China Aviation Museum from 1988.

Iraqi Airways had a small fleet of three Tridents.

Returned from lease to Cyprus Airways as 5B-DAD and in interim BA colours. Withdrawn from use in August 1980 and broken up at Heathrow in May 1981.

slide taken by the late Norbert Kröpfl. - Trident G-AVYB came to Munich for a ski-charter; it still showed the basic Northeast colours, however British Airways titles. The aircraft was broken up at Heathrow in May 1981.

Served with PIA until July 1970, then 232 of CAAC until 1975, thereafter 50056 of PLAAF. Currently (2021) preserved at PLAAF museum, Datangshan (March 1988).

Seen in a basic Northeast Airlines livery after the take-over by British Airways.

In Northeast Airlines (UK) colours with British Airways titles. Trident 1Es weren't selling. Hawker Siddley built 15 but only sold 10. They needed to offload 5 white tails. Channel Airways agreed to buy them. then reduced its order to two. Two of three due to go to Channel, G-AVYC and 'D were then sold to Newcastle-based BKS Air Transport in 1969. In November 1970, BKS changed its name to Northeast Airlines. In July 1973, Northeast became part of the British Airways group. Hence the hybrid livery you see in the picture. It had been repainted into British Airways before it was destroyed in a take-off accident at Bilbao in 1975.

This is one of a the few Trident 1Es operated by British Airways. They were acquired after the demise of Northeast Airlines and BKS. The aircraft is seen on the approach to runway 28 R (now 27R)
