Beautiful 1959 straight-tail 150.

Ex N6494T. Used by Cornwall Flying Club from 2 May 1974 until 24 March 1980. Withdrawn from use around 1988 and registration cancelled by the CAA on 3 April 1989.

Imported in January 1960 ex N7911E and here registered to Airwork Services who were the Cessna agents back then. On 7 April 2007 it was wrecked when landing at Compton Abbas (EGHA). According to my 1962 Ian Allan spotter's book this was the first Cessna 150 on the UK register.

First registered in March 1960 and here owned by Shackleton Aviation, so likely for sale. According to my 1962 Ian-Allan spotters book this was only the second Cessna 150 imported. On 14 January 1981 it crashed on take-off from Biggin Hill (EGKB).

Built in 1960 and registered to a private individual from Bletchley, Bucks shortly before this date. Cancelled by the CAA in 1989.

Ex N7710E, F-OBNC. This aircraft carries the only recorded use of the VQ-M registration prefix. See comments affixed to other photographs of this aircraft taken on 3 December 2008 and 11 February 2015.

Ex N7710E, F-OBNC. This aircraft bears the only recorded use of the VQ-M registration prefix. Although reported as withdrawn from use and broken up 8 October 1970, it had been found at this location 38 years later, it having been offered to the restaurant owner to display in his grounds. He admitted to knowing nothing about aircraft but had accepted the offer and had re-assembled it as best he could. By the date of this visit, some further work had been carried out, it now had a tailplane and elevator, the cowlings had been reattached and a propeller (of sorts) fitted, albeit still engineless.

Ex N7710E (cancelled from the USCAR 15 July 1959 as exported to Madagascar), F-OBNC. The only recorded use of the VQ-M registration prefix. Owned by the well-known Mauritian pilot P.Lagesse. Reported as withdrawn from use and broken up 8 October 1970 but found by chance at this location 38 years later. The aircraft had been in store and following the death of its owner, the new owner of the property where it had been stored offered it to the restaurant owner to put on display in his grounds (along with his classic car collection), failing which he was going to dispose of it.
