The aircraft was sold to Conair Aviation in September 2009 and ferried, still wearing VH-PAL, to their Abbottsford, BC., base. It was deleted from the Australian register on 14th September 2009 and placed on the Canadian register as C-GYXS on 21st September 2009. It appears that Conair acquired the aircraft for parts to support the operation of their Convair fire-bomber fleet as it never flew, or even wore, its Canadian marks, lingering on at Abbottsford gradually donating parts. The last online photo of a recognisable airframe is dated 2017, and it is thought it was scrapped shortly after.

Withdrawn from use and stored at Hamilton, (NZHN), in March 2016, it was sold to the Philippines in September 2016 but sold on and was last reported flying as 4608 with the Myanmar Air Force.

Sadly this aircraft was withdrawn from use at NZAA in June 2022 and scrapped soon after.

Operated by Air Nelson Ltd. on behalf of Air New Zealand, still shown as current on the online NZ civil register at the time of posting.

This registration was cancelled in December 2011 when the aircraft was transferred to the US register as N818TS, those marks were in turn cancelled in April 2013 when the aircraft was re-registered N500AG.

This aircraft was withdrawn from use in September 2019 and temporarily transferred to the Guernsey marks 2-RLBR, before taking up the US registration N948BA in November 2019 and stored at Marana Pinal Airpark where online photos show it being parted out on June 2020.

Withdrawn from service in August 2015 and sold as VH-XNU to Nauru Airlines.

Ex N7710E (cancelled from the USCAR 15 July 1959 as exported to Madagascar), F-OBNC. The only recorded use of the VQ-M registration prefix. Owned by the well-known Mauritian pilot P.Lagesse. Reported as withdrawn from use and broken up 8 October 1970 but found by chance at this location 38 years later. The aircraft had been in store and following the death of its owner, the new owner of the property where it had been stored offered it to the restaurant owner to put on display in his grounds (along with his classic car collection), failing which he was going to dispose of it.
