Originally a Napier Eland powered CL-66B delivered by Canadair to the RCAF September 20,1960 and was one of the last 10 Convair-Liners built. After support for the Eland was dropped, the Cosmopolitan was converted to 580 standard with Allison engines and re-delivered January 10,1967.

Originally deliverd to the RCAF as the last of 10 CL-66Bs with Napier Eland turboprobs as 11160 and converted to CV-580 equivalent specification with Allison engines in 1967. Operated by 412 Sqn and re-serialled in 1970, the Cosmos were regular visitors to Gatwick from the CAF base at Lahr. Sold as C-GNCM in 1996 and stored ever since at Saskatoon
