The first eight indonesian AF T-50's (serialled TT-5001 through TT-5008) - of a total of sixteen delivered - have initially worn this blue and yellow paint scheme. It appears that the TNI-AU planned to revive with those aircraft the "Elang Biru" display team, which was active between 1995 and 2000, flying F-16A's from Squadron 3 in the very same colors. The revival plans never materialised though and by now, all remaining T-50's wear a green / grey camo livery as per picture ID 417716. "TT" stands for "Tempur Taktis" or Tactical Fighter.

Lining up on runway 14 of it's home base for another flight to Bangkok, this 1997 built airframe served with Air Mauritius all it's life. Stored in October 2020 due to the Corona pandemic, then flown to Twenthe in July 2021 and finally broken up there during 2022. Even though designed for longhaul flights, Air Mauritius regulary used it's A340's to serve regional destinations like the neighboring islands of Madagascar and La Reunion as well.

Manufactured in 1991 and previously registered LN-OAC with European Helicopter Center in Torp (Norway). Bought by swiss foundation Helimission in 2014 and overhauled by Swiss Helicopter Maintenance (SHM) where this picture was taken just after the work has been completed. This Ecureuil / A-Star was then transferred to Helimission's subsidary HELIVIDA Indonesia, re-registered to PK-HCG and as such still flies humanitarian missions from its base in Wamena, Papua province.

Captured during a rescue exercise in the Wicklow Mountains National Park using callsign "Rescue116", this 2006 built S-92A is acutally one of five operated by CHC Ireland. Four operational bases are maintained on behalf of the Irish Coast Guard and strategically located around the irish coastal cities of Dublin, Waterford, Shannon and Sligo. On each base, a crew of six people (2 pilots, 2 rescue specialists and 2 mechanics on the ground) provide a 24/7 SAR and HEMS service. To keep proficient, many different scenarios over the sea but also in mountain rescue operations are constantly trained.

Ex US Army serial 79-23286, registered to Timberline Helicopters as N286TH in late 2016. High Performance Helicopters took it on board in 2017 and used it for trial and certification flights of (Australian company) Helitak's Fire Tank FT4500 system. Certified in January 2020, the water tank is seen here mounted under the heli's cabin, measuring only 12 inches in it's empty profile. It takes the - also visible - orange HP6000 snorkel pump just 46 seconds to fill the 1100 US-Gallon tank, which then expands under the belly. After the drop, it automatically retracts to its empty profile again.

This 2008 built AW139 has been delivered to Elilario, and then in March 2009 joined the fleet of INEAR Italy. When INEAR was gradually taken over by Babcock International as from 2014, this heli joint the Babcock fleet too. With any markings - other than the blue Babcock logo - absent, it seems to serve as spare heli at the time of upload. As such it was in Borgosesia covering for an Air Green AW139 under maintenance and a week later was flying HEMS mission between Lampedusa and Sicilia in southern Italy already.

Founded in 1999 and rebranded in 2017 by introducing a new logo and livery, Bluebird Nordic currently operates nine B737 freighters (one -300, seven -400 and one -800). As an Icelandic airline, Bluebird Nordic is authorized to operate without restrictions within the European Union. TF-BBL is a 1997 built aircraft and has previously flown as N792AS with Alaska Airlines. It was converted to freighter in 2017 and joined Bluebird Nordic in March 2018. In this picture, it can be seen during an early morning arrival as flight QY7552 from Cologne, Germany.

The italian fire service (Vigili del Fuoco - VdF) has been flying licenced built Agusta-Bell 412's since June of 1984. 23 units have been purchased directly and serialled VF-50 through VF-72. Civilian registrations starting with I-VF... are assigned as well, but not visible externally. When the "Corpo Forestale dello Stato", another italian state organisation was disabled in 2016, some twelve 2nd hand AB412CS's were transferred to the VdF. Those helis were re-serialled to VF-114 (ex CFS-14) to VF-127 (ex CFS-27). Some of them still kept the green CFS livery for a while.

Babcock Mission Critical Services Italy is a big player in the italian HEMS market. Among the many bases it runs throughout Italy are all three of the region of Tuskany: PEGASO 1 in Firenze with a H145, PEGASO 3 with an AW139 in Massa-Cinquale and finally PEGASO 2 based next to the Hospital in Grosseto. I-ROAV is a 2016 built helicopter, equipped with emergency floats, a engine sandfilter, a hoist and Night-Vision-Goggles, allowing it to safely operate on a 24/7 basis.

Built in 2012 and delivered to Alitalia that same year in July. Operated by Alitalia's till it's grounding in 2021. Taken over by successor ITA Airways on October 15, 2021.

Built in 2004 and operated by Air Europa as EC-ISN till January of 2021. Converted to freighter between June and October 2021 (under registration N291CS) and delivered to ASL Airlines Ireland in May 2022. Currently operated for Prime Air (Amazon's growing cargo airline) within Europe, mainly between airports in Germany, Italy and Spain.

The austrian police started to introduce eight EC135P2+ in 2008, and added four H135P3 in 2019, one of the latter being OE-BXR. It is pictured here at the austrian police aviation headquarters in the middle of Vienna-Meidling. The base is pretty much surrounded by residents and living quarters, and therefore, this historic heliport will close in 2024, but not before the aviation unit will have moved to it's new base at Wiener Neustadt. The registration OE-BXR has previously been assigned to another austrian police helicopter (Bell 206B3 Jet Ranger S/N 4413).

At the time of upload, VH-XCK was one of three Bell 412's operated by LifeFlight on behalf of the "Royal Automobile Club of Queensland" RACQ. Built in 2006, it was till 2010 operated by indian operator Glocal Vectra Helicopters as VT-AZO, before joining LifeFlight. It is seen here taking off after a refuel stop at the Sunshine Coast Airport, heading back to its base at Bundaberg using callsign "RSCU522".

OE-XBT, the austrian police's sole Jet Ranger, returns from a training flight to it's base at Wien-Vöslau. Since the late 1960's, the austrian police operated a total of six licence built Agusta-Bell 206 Jet Rangers, of which some were written off after accidents, and the remaining replaced by AS-350B1 Ecureuil's as from the mid 1980's. Then in 1996/97, two Bell 206B3 Jet Rangers were introduced for basic flight training, of which only OE-BXT remains operational at the time of upload. The other - OE-BXR - ended up in Uganda, flying for the East African country's Air Force.

Built and first delivered to the UAE AF in September of 1978 with serial 309. In 1995, it went to Indonesia and was operated by the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) as from 1998, after having carried the Indonesian test registration AX-5004 during work carried out at IPTN in Bandung. One of only two DHC-5's operated by the "Ankatan Darat", the other being A-9122. A-9121 is seen here back at IPTN Bandung, after being withdrawn from use around 2007.

VH-ESH was the very first HEMS / SAR AW139 introduced to Australia in 2007, and thus the oldest when pictured in Archerfield in September 2022, operating under callsign "RSCU500". Since 2007, some 35 additional AW139 followed with different australian HEMS / SAR operators, the Queensland Government Air (Service) being one of them, operating five AW139's.

Built in 1990 and briefly registered in Germany as D-HHBI before getting the swiss registration HB-XXY in February 1991. Has been operating under different ownerships but always with this paint scheme, and always based at the small airfield of Buttwil. Current at the time of upload.

Based at Doha and assigned to Flying Wing 1 and 7th Air Superiority Squadron respectively, the Qatar AF operated twelve Mirage 2000-5 between 1997 and 2019. All have apparantly been sold to a french company called "Advanced REDAIR European Squadron" (ARES), but they have not yet been taken to the sky in their new adversary role it seems.

Picture taken during a ceremony to conclude the last repetition course of Fliegerstaffel 2 & Fliegerkompanie 15 operating Hunters out of Ulrichen, after which the airfield was closed to jet traffic. J-4119 was built in 1955 and served with the RAF until 1970 (serialled WV380). After refurbishment by Hawker Siddeley, it was part of an 1971 order of 30 second hand Hunter Mk58As for the Swiss AF, to supplement the 100 new aircraft bought back in 1958. Two more orders for 2nd hand a/c followed: one in 1973 for 22 single and finally one in 1974 for eight dual seat Hunters (TMk68).

This piston engine powered PC-6 was built in 1962 and is one of only two remaining operational worldwide, all others have been converted to P&W PT6 turbines. The HIMALAYA retro paint scheme pays tribute to the PC-6 prototype HB-FAN S/N 337, which took part in the Swiss Dhaulagiri Expedition in May 1960 but crashed at 5'200 m/AMSL. Part of the original "Yeti"'s registration HB-FAN was kept, but now reads "Yeti-FAN". Note the famous castle of Thun in the background.
