This 737 spent its entire career in Southern Africa. First flown at Boeing Field 7 April 1970, it was delivered to South African Airways 15 April, remaining with the airline until sold to Comair 1 August 1992. Seen here at then Jan Smuts International in the first livery carried by the SAA 737 fleet. Withdrawn from use in July 2004 and parted out at Johannesburg. Photographer unknown

When AirCal leased this 737 in March 1986 it was already 18 years old, having flown with NAC National Airways Corporation / Air New Zealand as ZK-NAE from September 1968. American Airlines kept the 737 in their fleet when it merged AirCal in July 1987 before returning it to the lessor in 1991. Stored at Phoenix, Avmark Aviation leased the aircraft in September 1992. Re-named Transtar Airlines in January 1993, the company closed it's doors July 31, 1993. Stored, this time in Roswell, NM, the aircraft was sold to West Jet Airlines in 1997 as a source of spare parts and was scrapped in Roswell.

ex Orion Airways (G-BGTW). Over to Transavia Holland in March 1985. KLM leased it from Transavia between May '88 and April '94 and again to KLM in October '94, for the winterseason. In June '95 to Ryanair (EI-CKS). wfu and stored Prestwick in Oct2003. Scrapped in March 2005.

Dekivered new to Maersk as OY-APS 10th Nov 1980 and became Z-NAL with Air Zimbabwe 16th Sep 1985. Delivered to Dragonair as VR-HYL 2nd Apr 1987 and returned to lessor (ILFC) as N251LF 1st July 1993 for onward lease to Lacsa and finally ending up with Nationwide as ZS-PIW 18th Nov 2004. Withdrawn from use FAOR (Johannesburg) Apr 2008 where it was scrapped in 2012
