This is one of the outside exhibits belonging to the Canadian Warbird Heritage Museum. The DHC-5 was ST-AHP of the Sudanese AF but has been restored in this UN scheme to commemorate the Canadian crew of the real CAF Buffalo '115461' that were killed when the plane was shot down over Syria on 9th Aug. 1974.

She suffered a mishap with her landing gear while landing at Quevedo and she stayed there ever since. Somehow I don't think she'll fly again. The one and only Buffalo in Ecuador.

Very rarely photographed in Indonesian service, this Buffalo was delivered by DHC to the UAE AF as 306 in 5.78 and is one of five that were traded in to IPTN as part payment for CN.235s in 1995, one other (U-631) also joining the Navy's SkwU600 at the Juanda (Surabaya) base. Was earlier reported as serial AX-5001 and AL-5001

Delivered to the RCAF May 16 1968 as 9461, this Buffalo was re-numbered 115461 when Canada's armed forces amalgamated May 27, 1970. In 1973 it was loaned for use with the United Nations in the Middle East. It became the only Buffalo loss in Canadian service when shot down by surface-to-air missiles August 9, 1974 near the village of Diemas, Golan Heights. Canadian Warplane Heritage has painted up an ex-Sudanese Buffalo as 115461 to commemorate the crew lost that day.

CF-LAQ was used as a demonstrator ahead of its delivery to the Canadian air force as 9460 in May 1968. It was in Australia to be shown to the Australian air force as a Caribou replacement but no order eventuated.
