Ex RAF C-47B Dakota KN418. Served EAAC 02.53 until 1977, initially as VP-KJQ, when 'K' meant Kenya within the UK colonial sequence. Later to ZS-OJE and current in 2006.

Served East African from December 1968 until August 1973. Later 5Y-BEK.

Delivered to EAAC as VP-KPK in September 1960. Re-registered 5H-AAF in April 1964. To Dan-Air for spares in January 1971.

Operated by East African from new in January 1964 until transferred to Air Tanzania in February 1977 and registered 5H-MRO in October 1978.

Three VC-10s sharing Heathrow's 'Hotel' stands, just days before East African Airways was dissolved. First flying in Feb 1970, 5H-MOG was the last one built and was latterly the RAF 101 Sqdn's K.3 ZA150, scrapped in 2013. Note 5th engine pod. Behind is the penultimate one built, 5X-UVJ, which became ZA149 and coincidentally made the penultimate flight of the type into Dunsfold for the Brooklands Museum on 24 Sept 2013 (my photos also on AH).

This aircraft went on to become ZA150 of the Royal Air Force. It is seen at the BOAC maintenance area.
