On display aboard museum ship CVS-11 USS Intrepid. This immaculately restored Fury is in the colors of VF-33 "Tarsiers" that flew from USS Intrepid. The squadron took part in NATO exercise Operation Strikeback from the carrier in 1957. The FJ-3 was similar to the FJ-2 but had an enlarged intake and the more powerful J65-W-4 engine. The leading edge slats were replaced by extended leading edges with fences. The FJ-3 started reaching USN squadrons in Sep 1954, starting with VF-173 "Jesters." A total of 538 FJ-3s were ordered, these equipping 21 USN and four USMC units.

On display on the flight deck of museum ship CV-10 USS Yorktown. Painted as Sea King 66 with BuNo 152711, this was one of the most recognized helicopters of all time. The original '66' of HS-4 was the primary recovery helicopter for Apollo 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13. It was lost at sea off NALF Imperial Beach in 1975. Commissioned in 1952, HS-4 "Black Knights" became the first ASW helicopter squadron to deploy aboard an aircraft carrier. During a single deployment in SEA in 1966, it set a record of rescuing 24 downed airmen. HS-4 pioneered SAR techniques for the Apollo capsule recoveries.

On January 25th 2020 this helicopter crashed into the Pacific off Okinawa whilst operating from USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19), fortunately the crew was able to escape before it sank. On 18th March 2021 Naval Systems Command's (NAVSEA) Supervisor of Salvage and Diving (SUPSALV) succeeded in recovering the Seahawk (sic) at a depth of 19,075 feet. (With thanks to the late Joe Baugher's US Navy and US Marine Corps BuNos web site.).
