In the early 1930s there was not so much light between a small airliner, a high-end private plane, and a combat aircraft. The Consolidated 18 was a dive-bomber variant of the Fleetster with a new metal wing and an internal bomb bay. The sole example was delivered to NAS Anacostia as the XBY-1 on 26 September 1932. Apparently it was not repaired following a landing accident at NAS Norfolk on 13 April 1933.

Although marked as RR-5 Bureau Number 9205, this is actually 4-AT-E N7861 which never was assigned to the US Navy. It was originally built in 1928 as a 4-AT-B and converted by the factory in 1929 to a 4-AT-E. N7861 spent most of its flying career with Johnson Flying Service, where it was used as an insect spray aircraft as well as under contract with the US Forest Service as a smoke jumper transport. It was donated to the museum in 1973. The US Navy and US Marine Corps had a total of 9 Ford Tri-Motors of various types in their inventory, all ordered between 1927-1931.

This MH-60S of the Longhorns (the nickname of the NAS Fallon search and rescue (SAR) flight) crashed near Mt. Hogue (CA) at approximately 5 p.m. on 16 July 2021, while conducting SAR operations. All four crewmembers survived the crash without injury and have been safely recovered. The status of the helicopter is not clear yet (19 July 2021). The Seahawk, call sign Longhorn 02, was supporting Mono County SAR efforts to locate a lost hiker in the rugged high-altitude terrain (11,700 feet above sea level) in the National Forest south of Boundary Peak, 120 miles south of Fallon.

1942: Purchased by USAAF for RAF as Bermuda 1.This plane was ferried to Tullahoma, TN to turn over to the RAF. After the RAF accepted the plane it crashed in a swamp just after takeoff. The pilot got out but the plane was left there. In 1974 David Tallichet found it and recovered it for his collection. He decided to donate it to the Navy and in 1978 it was taken to the Naval Air Development Center in Warminster, PA, for restoration by 60 ex-Brewster employees. Ownership was transferred to the Naval Aviation Museum in 2004. Restoration was completed in 2007 to represent a Navy SB2A-1 Buccaneer
