A Dyess AFB (TX) based at the main ramp at Kandahar Airfield. Tens of USAF C-130s, mainly Air National Guard, were deployed for several months into Afghan theatre before relieved by others. They did not belong to the same unit, so a large diversity of squadron could be seen through the country.
