C-47 43-49926 was delivered to the RAF as Dakota KN258. Transferred to the RCAF in 1946, it's pictured during transition of the Royal Canadian Air Force into the Canadian Armed Forces. It would become 12907 under the reorganization. Stored in 1989, it was sold in 1991 as N92BF and stored in Basler Turbo Conversions' yard at Oshkosh, WI. Bought by Saber Air Cargo (N12907) in 1995, the aircraft was damaged in a landing accident at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport in 2000. Moved to the Carolinas Aviation Museum is 2003 , it's registered to Preferred Airparts as N577PT since 2020.

After being withdrawn, it was sold as N92BF in August 1991 then appropriately re-registered as N12907. On 26 September 2000 it was DBR in a gear collapse at Charlotte/NC and relocated to the Carolinas Aviation Museum, conveniently on site. In 2019 the museum had to close so current status in 2020 uncertain.

Gatwick was a major European hub for the Canadian Armed Forces. Douglas Dakotas and Bristol Freighters ferried personnel from and to France and Germany while the Hercules and Yukon were used across the Atlantic. Delivered to the RCAF in 1961, this one went to Zaire in 1974 and scrapped there in 1983.
