Delivered new to Transavia 19th May 2011 and transferred to KLM 25th Feb 2017

Built for KLM in 1957 then became EI-AOL for Aer Lingus in 1967. It was bought for the Oman Air Force in 1973, but ended up being scrapped and burned in a fire fighting demonstration at Bournemouth (EGHH) on 12 October 1975.

After a night of record snowfall (for Dutch standards) this KLM Boeing 737 catches the first rays of morning sun so it can defrost a little bit.

Delivered in 1953 as PH-TFU then re-registered as above. It made the first visit of a commercial Super Constellation to Heathrow (EGLL) on 3 September 1953. It carries a 40 year anniversary sticker which would date the shot more closely to 1959 than the dates given. Initially a 1049C, but it would have been converted to 1049E by this time. Withdrawn at Amsterdam in November 1961 and scrapped in June 1963.

Not the best quality, but worth uploading as it was taken before conversion to freighter and repaint in the post Flying Dutchman livery as per Photo ID: 348050.

H-NABS (c/ n 1531) did not enter service with KLM but was sold to the Deutsche Luft-Reederei/Danziger Luft-Reederei along with H-NABR (c/n 1530), which may be the plane on the ground below the chimney. H-NABS (c/n 1531) to FD-21 and Dz-8 in the Free City of Danzig register. The transfers already took place in 1920 according to some sources but this is ruled out by Dutch register information. Also the F.III did not fly until 20 November 1920. The airport was known as Langfuhr in German times. Seen here after conversion from 1049E to 1049G with tip tanks and radar nose. Retired in April 1962 and scrapped at Amsterdam in July 1964. A wintertime shot with scraps of snow on the ground. (Photo ID: 96821 shows it as a1049E.)

Delivered new in 1954 and withdrawn at Amsterdam in 1962. Scrapped in 1964.
