Delivered in 1953 as PH-TFU then re-registered as above. It made the first visit of a commercial Super Constellation to Heathrow (EGLL) on 3 September 1953. It carries a 40 year anniversary sticker which would date the shot more closely to 1959 than the dates given. Initially a 1049C, but it would have been converted to 1049E by this time. Withdrawn at Amsterdam in November 1961 and scrapped in June 1963. This photo was added on 2 September 2021, and has since been viewed 3338 times. |
