It was shot down by a German fighter while attacking the ships and made a forced landing at the Kudalsfjellet near Hamningberg. In 1989 the wreck was recovered and later brought to the Norsk Luftfartsmuseum in Bodø for restoration. The cockpit section has been fullly restored. It carries a Gvardia badge

USAF 43-36487, to RAF FZ708 but not delivered, to Norwegian AF 261 taken on charge Jun-1944, struck of charge Mar-1957 becoming an instructional airframe at the Luftforsvarets Tekniske Skole at Kjevik, later to the Norsk Luftfartsmuseum in Bodø painted as 163 to commemorate the real 163 as flown a tthe Little Norway flying school in Canada 1944-45. The name is on the left side only.
