Ex USAAF 44-34778. Formerly operated as Tanker 98 with Air Spray of Red Deer, Alberta. Now operated in a fictitious RCAF scheme and awaiting propellers.

Only 12 Huskies were built. This one was originally operated by the Manitoba Province Government, hence the registration. It crashed into a wooded area at Beaver River, Yukon 31 July 1979 in poor visibility with just the pilot, Eddy Phillips on board, who survived with just a cut to his head. Subsequently recovered back to White Horse, Yukon. Transferred to St Andrews in October 1998. Seen in the Western Canada Aviation Museum reserve store compound.

It crashed in the bush near Rossport, Ontario, not far from the northern shore of Lake Superior 1 June 1952. Seen in the Western Canada Aviation Museum reserve store compound.

Made in 1934 as G-ACYS and exported to Australia in 1938 where it became VH-ACC. Registered to a collector at Carman/MB in April 1970 as CF-AUV (registration faintly visible on rudder) who stuck the ugly canopy on it, presumably to facilitate giving joy rides. By 1972 it was in Ontario and got properly rebuilt without the canopy in the 1980s. Restored as G-ACYS in July 2020.

On display was this 1942 built Texan which was owned at the time by collector Bob Diemert who also had the Hawk Major CF-AUV and Japanese Aichi D3A, CF-TZT there too. As of 2020 it is part of the BCATP Museum collection at Brandon, Manitoba.

The last Otter produced and it was delivered in 1967. Converted to Walter turbine in 2002 and exported as N725TH in 2013. Tragedy struck on 4 September 2022. Soon after take-off from Friday Harbor on Orcas Island/WA it dived out of control into the sea with the loss of all on board. Preliminary evidence indicates failure of the elevator spar.

Imported in 1999 and here on lease to Northway Aviation in the livery of owner Montair Aviation, British Columbia. In 2004 it was exported as N276CN and was re-imported as C-FPCL in 2005 and current in 2023.

The 'ALL WEATHER' on the rudder is a promotion for windows, not a reference to the aircraft's capabilities.

The 1000th Caravan on short-term lease to Northway Aviation.

In 1933 a Mr. G.S.Brown from Brandon Manitoba used the motor and vertical tail surface from a wrecked Vellie Monocoupe to build an Air Camper. The aircraft was registered as CF-AUK and flew but was partially destroyed in an accident in the first few hours. It was bought by H.W. Thompson who built a new fuselage and installed a Model A Ford engine. After a landing accident a new wing was built and completed in 1937, but due to the War the aircraft was put aside and the registration lapsed. In about 1967 the aircraft was resurrected with a Continental 65 engine and registered CF-RAZ. Still registered in 2023.

Imported new in 1972 and removed from the register in 2007 for unknown reasons.

Imported from the US just three days prior to the photo date and put into service as a bird dog for water bombers. Very sad - like making a racehorse pull a plow. Built in 1964 and still current based at Dryden/ON in 2022.

There is no history found for this aircraft and nothing found on the operator. The apparatus under the fuselage may have been used to carry survey equipment so it could have been in Canada on a contract.

Badly damaged in a landing accident at Scroggie Creek, YT in 2009 and supposedly destroyed in a fire in 2018. Who knows? Anyway it is no longer on the register.

Sitting it out on a crisp prairie winter day. Not much moves on days like this as the arctic temperatures are too hard on man and machine. Built in 1947 and C of R cancelled in 2006 for unknown reason. The final owner was a mechanic who died in 2014 so it is probably sitting in barn somewhere waiting to be found.

Still in Labrador Airways livery, having been acquired by locally based Sowind Air. Built for the US Army in 1958 and imported by Labrador Airways in 1976. Sowind Air operated it until exported to the US in 1999. Current as N49AW with PZL turboprop engine in 2022.

Operated by Sioux Narrows Airways for Plummer's Lodges. First registered in 1972 ex RCAF serial 12958 and cancelled on export as N167TW in 2015. Current with Basler Turbo Conversions at Oshkosh/WI in 2022.

This Embraer Bandeirante was the flagship of Sowind Air until it was destroyed on 9 December 1997 when the crew attempted a do-it-yourself GPS approach to Little Grand Rapids (CZGR) in poor viz.

Taken on strength by No. 1 Training Command in 1942 and passed to War Assets Corporation for disposal in 1946. Stored at MacDonald/MB where it was noted with 35:20 logged time. Here parked outside the museum storage compound just across the road from Saint Andrews (CYAV).
