Originally known as the Thomas-Morse XO-932 and first flown on 4 May 1931, it was unsuccessfully entered in a U.S. Army competition for a light observation aircraft designated Y1O-41. Engine is a 600 hp Wright GV-1570 water cooled V12. Lacking military orders it was remodeled by Consolidated Acft. for restricted use as a company transport and designated as Model 23. Here it has stopped off en route Buffalo/NY to San Diego/CA, still in Army drab paint. It was exported as XA-DBX in 1936. Photograph taken by William H Engle. Collection holder William Engle is the son of the photographer.

G & A Aircraft designed the Model 45 series of rotor-craft for the U.S. Army who designated them XR-9, -9A & -9B. These were unsuccessful but the Firestone Rubber Company bought G & A in 1943 with the intention of producing a civil version. This resulted in the Firestone Aircraft Company Model 45D shown here. It was demonstrated at the 1946 Cleveland National Races but the hoped for orders did not materialize.

Two MB.90s were to take part in the Challenge International de Tourisme in August 1932, but did not show up although the first one, first flown in June, wears the event's tail stripes and number L2 underwing here. F-AMBO was displayed at the November 1932 Paris Salon, with a Renault 4Pei engine replacing its provisional DH Gipsy. In 1933 this aircraft was converted to MB.93 standard, but the MB.90 family was unsuccessful. Photo from: Dassault

Records show A6631 served less than six months and is unlikely to have left France but the photo is not at a typical operational aerodrome. Maybe the factory. . On May 1, 1917 A6631 struck an obstacle on takeoff. The pilot was able to complete the mission in the damaged aircraft but it appears to have been written off on return. The abortive East German jetliner often called the Baade 152 had its origins in Junkers jet bomber projects and the 150 bomber, designed by German engineers detained in the USSR. Development took place at Flugzeugwerke Dresden - note that the company name is not VEB, which only meant People-Owned Enterprise. The first flight was on 4 December 1958 but DM-ZYA crashed on 4 March 1959 on only its second flight. The second prototype DM-ZYB flew just once in 1960. This amateur constructed aircraft was built here at Victoria beginning in 2021 and according to the CCAR is a Pulsar. The only "Pulsar" I can find is the Aero Designs Pulsar which looks vaguely similar and has Rotax engines of roughly 100 hp. This engine drinks Avgas and from its gravely sound and the size of the propeller I'd guess it was over 200 hp with turbocharging. Also it moves very fast.

Belite Aircraft was an American aircraft manufacturer formed in 2009. They specialised in the design and manufacture of ultralight aircraft in the form of kits for amateur construction and ready-to-fly complete aircraft under the US FAR 103 Ultralight Vehicles rules. Whilst basic training was recommended, it was possible for the aircraft to be flown without a licence or registration and with no or a bad medical. In June 2019 the factory was destroyed by fire and the company ceased trading.

One of the few good photographs available of the B-60, ordered originally as a B-36 Peacemaker variant. Only the first prototype was flown, 20 times by Convair from 18 April 1952 and just four times by the US Air Force in January 1953. It is seen here over Kramer Junction near Edwards AFB. The USAF cancelled the B-60 already in August 1952 as the B-52 was way superior. Photo from: US Air Force
