Delivered to CP Air as C-GCPD then leased to Varig as PP-VMP in 1979. Returned to CP Air as C-GCPD in 1980 who merged into Canadian Airlines International in 1987. Returned to the lessor as N541SA and converted to a freighter for World Airways in 2000. To DAS Air Cargo as 5X-DAS in 2005. Back to the lessor as N65SS in 2006 then back to DAS Air Cargo as 5X-DAS and withdrawn from use at Jakarta-CGK in 2007. Still there in 2015. Scrapped.

In for maintenance with Fairflight. Test Reg PT-SAJ before delivery to Air UK as G-BGYU in 1980. Sold as N4578Q then N875AC in 1984. Cancelled from the register in 1992 as exported to Brazil, probably for parts.

SE-DAS was one of 17 DC-0-41s delivered to SAS in 1974 with Y122 seating for domestic services, replacing DC-9-21s which were to be used for thin international services, and also replacing the last Caravelles in the SAS fleet. SE-DAS had the name "Gardar Viking". 1984 SE-DAS was repainted to the colours on this photo, and reconfig CY105. April 1988 SE-DAS was named "The Viking King" for the Swedish King's official visit to the USA. It was not renamed to "Gardar Viking" again until 1990. January 7th 2002 wfu after nearly 28 years for SAS, after flying SK1606 ZRH-ARN as the final DC-9 flight in SAS. Scanned from Fuji HR200 negative film

First flight October 7th 1981 and delivered to Swissair as HB-INP October 30th 1981 and named "Oberglatt". Augsut 14th 1997 N9229TW TWA and converted to MD-82. December 2nd 2001 N9229TW American Airlines fleet no 4UV. April 2003 Wfu after more than 20 years in the air and stored at Roswell in May 2003. June 2006 bnougth by Jet Midwest, but later broken up. Seen taxing to depart rwy 24 this grey monday in May 1989.

First flight March 3rd 1988 as F-WWEI, and delivered new to Pan Am Express March 31st as N4207G and based at Tempelhof airport in Berlin. Pan Am started services from Tempelhof to FBU in 1988, and this one was quite new when I photographed it in September 1988. December 1991 N4207G Trans World Express. Returned to ATR as F-WQBV. February 1997 YR-ATY for TAROM Seen on final approach rwy 06 arriving from Berlin- Tempelhof.
