This aircraft was destroyed near Shoreham Airport during the airshow on 22nd August 2015 killing 11 people and injuring 13 others

Ex U-1230 with the Swiss Air Force. Became G-DHZZ in 1991. In April 2007 the aircraft was reregistered LN-DHZ, which could mean that I took this photo while the aircraft was on the move between the UK and Norway. Unfortunately I didn't take a better photo than this.

Built as a T20, it was delivered in Jun-1953 to the Danish Air Force as 12-143. In 1960 it was reserialled as P-143. It was withdrawn from use in Mar-1977 and became an instructional airframe at the Flyvevabnets Konstabelskole at Værlose. By 1988 it was stored for the Flyevabnets Historiske Samling. On becoming civil it was converted to Mk22 and registered as OY-FLV in May-2003. At the same time it joined the Dansk Veteranflysamling which in Jun-2007 changed name to Danmarks Flymuseum.

Loaned by the Air Council to the Shuttleworth Collection in late 1959. Seen here on static display, the first post-restoration flight was by Allen Wheeler two months later on 28 September 1972. The CAA later insisted all airworthy Shuttleworth Collection aeroplanes should have civil registrations, so unused G-AANJ was allocated in October 1981. The loan was reconfirmed in 1994 at which point maintenance serial 9239M was issued. The last flight was on 20 November 2003 when the loan was terminated and it went to RAF Cosford on 12 November 2003 where it has remained since in a dismantled state.
