This cameraship is displayed and preserved in the Pima Air and Space Museum in the nice colours of VFP-61. Light Photographic Squadron Six One (VFP-61) based at NAS Miramar, California, received its first F8U-1P in September 1957, eventually operating twenty. The squadron supplied photographic detachments to Pacific Fleet carriers. Redesignated VCP-63 on 1 July 1959. Tailcode: PP.
