Delivered to the US Navy as an SNB-2 in 1943. Rebuilt as an SNB-5 around 1954. Redesignated as a UC-45J in 1962. Retired at Davis-Monthan AFB in 1967. To the museum in 1969. Was in storage for many years until it was restored and put on display.
Registration NC18573 reserved prior to delivery to Prairie Airways as CF-BKN in 1938. To TACA de Venezuela as YV-AZB in 1944 then to NC55681 in 1946. Reregistered as N55681 in 1941. To the Pima Air Museum in 1980. Repainted into its original markings of CF-BKN around 2008.
