Built as a T-28B for the USN, Bu 138232 but apparently went straight to the Royal Thai AF as 55-138232. Rebuilt as an AT-28D for the Royal Lao AF as 38232, later 3416. Derelict at Thong Hi Hin AB, Xiang Khoang, Laos from 1975-1988. Recovered, trucked to Bangkok & shipped to Australia, December 1988. Stored at Essendon 1988-91. Gear just starting to come up...This aircraft was built to an RAF order as EX184 and allocated USAAC serial 41-33157 for administrative purposes. It was diverted to New Zealand where it entered service as NZ1006 in Sep 1942. Demobbed in 1978, shipped to Australia and stored at Albury til 1981. Acquired by Randal McFarlane for restoration at Bankstown 82-86, first flight 10 May 86. Owned during 1988-90 by aerobatic ace Chris Sperou, then moved to Alice Springs and Kalgoorlie. Resident in Queensland since Jan 2007.

This Trojan was built for the US Navy with serial Bu 137743. Retired, it was civil registered as N5439X in August 1984. It moved through several owners before being exported to Australia in April 2008. It was registered VH-ZSH on 27 November that year and is currently based in Toowoomba, Qld. It seems to have been partly repainted since moving to Australia, and now carries the appropriate name 'Miss Stress' on the port nose.

Mike Spaulding's brand new Warhawk/Kittyhawk was a star attraction at the Wide Bay International Airshow. Built for the USAAF as 42-104977, this aircraft served with the 49FG, named 'Punkins'. On 13 September 1943 it was shot down by a Zero at Tsili Tsili, near Finschafen, New Guinea. The wreck was recovered in 2004 and rebuilt at Wangaratta and Mareeba.

On 13 September 1943 it was shot down by a Zero at Tsili Tsili, near Finschafen, New Guinea. The wreck was recovered in 2004 and rebuilt at Wangaratta and Mareeba.

'Unity 991' put on an impressive display at the Wide Bay International Airshow. This aircraft was delivered to US Air, later US Airways, in July 1991 as N885US. It was imported into Australia by Alliance and registered, fittingly, in the old Ansett F.28 sequence as VH-FKA(2) on 11 August 2005. Initially operated in a hybrid scheme, it has since been repainted in full Alliance colours.
