Late '99, the KLu decided to retire the two F27-200MARs of 336sq which were based at Hato, Curaçao. Here M-2 is seen after its return from Hato, awaiting further plans. Eventually, it was decided to dispose them. M-2 was flown to Southend (UK) on 27 Aug'02, cannibalized and sadly scrapped. On the tail, the 336sq badge (a frigate bird) is seen, on the nose the badge of CZMCARIB (Dutch Commandement der Zeemacht in het Caribisch Gebied-Naval Sea Command Carribbean). 336sq was deactivated in 2000 and reactivated in 2004 with C-130Hs (the badge then became a Bull). At the holding point for departing on runway 09R on Manx Airlines flight JE306 to Isle of Man. Delivered to LAR as CS-TGA in 1988. Returned to British Aerospace as G-BUUP then to Manx Airlines in 1993. Transferred to British Airways as G-MANU in 1997. Returned to Bae Systems in 2001 and stored at Zaragoza and later Bucharest-Baneasa. Converted to a freighter for Atlantic Airlines in 2008. To West Air Sweden as SE-MHD in 2016.
