Canadian Airlines introduced this new color scheme in January 1999. In December 1999, the airline would be acquired by Air Canada and the scheme quickly disapeared.

At the time displayed at the Military Museum of Chinese People's Revolution to commemorate presedential use, this aircraft previously served China United as 50152 and was ex PIA AP-AUG. The genuine B-2207 was c/n 2182, scrapped in 1992. Now part of the collection at at the China Civil Aviation Museum at Xiedao, not far from Beijing Capital airport

This 707 spent over two years parked up at Southend, having earlier been active along with many of her kind out of Ostend after taking up the Nigerian identity in 10.94. Previously N7561A, PP-VJP and N108BV and eventually became 9G-LAD in Nov 2000. Later stored at Tripoli.

Delivered 11.93 and sold to Kras Air 6.03 becoming RA-86926, passing on to Tartarstan in 4.06 (still in ex-CXJ c/s); b/u at DME 5.13

An extraordinary machine by any standard. In 1967, China attempted to develop its first AEW platform based on the Tu-4 airframe with AI-20 turboprop engines. The project was named KJ-1, with a Type 843 rotor-dome on top. However, the equipment was too heavy and failed to meet PLAAF requirements so the project was cancelled in 1971

Flying on the spacious IL-86 was always a pleasure. Boarding is through a baggage storage area and up a staircase to the cabin floor. This one was delivered to China in 1993 and sold to Kras Air 10 years later. Stored at DME after use by Tatarstan and Kazan, still in basic CXJ colours, but scrapped 2013

Previously with Sichuan Airlines, this 154 was seized by the Chinese Customs at Chengdu a couple of weeks after this shot. Aircraft ferried to VARZ 400 at Vnukovo for rework 2.05. The registration has since been reused on a B.737

Originally intended for MIAT, but went to China Southwest instead in 8.92. Transferred to Xinjiang immediately prior to the time of this photo and then on to China Southern in 10.05
