Just rolled out of its hangar and prepared by maintenance for a new trainings sortie over southern Spain. The H269A was used for the Spanish Air Force basic helicopter training. Delivered in October 1978 to the Ejército del Aire and served Escuadron 782 up to 31 March 2011. The type was replaced by the EC120B Colibri. 78-45 was stored at Granada from March 2011 and eventually sold to Germany as D-HOBS to Ochtendung heliport in June 2002.

It was seen stored without engines at Moron in late 2010 and the aircraft was reported as withdrawn from use on 1 March 2011. The Orion was stored at Maestranza Seville from May 2005 and was moved to CASA EADS at San Pablo for an overhaul and upgrade in late 2010. After serving the air force again, the aircraft was stored at Cuatro Vientos from late 2017. The Orion was first noted in the Museo de Aeronáutica y Astronáutica at Cuatro Vientos at 14 November 2017 and added to the collection in February 2018.

After serving the air force again, the aircraft was stored at Cuatro Vientos from late 2017. The Orion was first noted in the Museo de Aeronáutica y Astronáutica at Cuatro Vientos at 14 November 2017 and added to the collection in February 2018.

Delivered new in 1975 to Wien Air Alaska and here operated by NWT Air, complete with the gravel runway kit. The livery is that adopted by Air Canada Connector airlines. I was told that when Air Canada got involved with NWT they didn't want to be associated with the old Electra fleet, then in service, and forced NWT to switch to the B737. Routes that were flown non-stop with the Electra then had to make tech. stops for fuel. Enthusiasts in Sweden and the UK benefited though as five of the Electra fleet ended up there.
