Sep '64: Ferried to the Strategic Air Command Museum, Offutt AFB, NE. 1997: Trucked to new SAC Museum at Ashland, NE. Somewhere along the line restoration used the tail of 53-0310, which was scrapped at St. Joseph, MO.

June/55: TOS USAF and assigned to the 93rd Bombardment (Heavy) Wing (SAC), Castle AFB, CA; first operational B-52 assigned to SAC. December/63: 22nd Bomb (H) Wing (SAC), March AFB, CA. 29 September 1965: Flown to Offutt AFB, NE, and struck off strength to put on display with the SAC Museum. In 1997 the plane was moved to the new facility at Ashland, NE.

15 Aug 1950: TOS USAF; assigned to the 2750th Air Base Wing (Air Materiel Command), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. 4/51: HQ Air R& D Command, WPAFB. Redesignated ERB-45C; modified for various in flight test programs including jet engine testing, avionics upgrades and new reconnaissance equipment. 6/51: Wright Air Development Center (ARDC), WPAFB. 6/54: Loaned to Pratt and Whitney Corp., for special test use. 11/55: Redesignated JRB-45C. 4/57: Redesignated NRB-45C. 11/71: SOC. Last RB-45 in use and ferried to Offutt AFB, NE, for display with the Strategic Air Command Museum. 1997: To new museum.

22 Dec 1953: TOS USAF and assigned to the 7th Bombardment Wing (Heavy) at Carswell AFB, TX. 30 Sep 1954: 42nd Bomb Wing (H), Loring AFB, ME. 10 Aug 1956: 95th Bomb Wing (H) at Biggs AFB, TX. 2/59: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ for storage. 14 Apr 1959: SOC. 22 Apr 1959: Flown to Offutt AFB, NE for display at the Strategic Air Command Museum; this was the next-to-last flight of a B-36. In 1997 it was disassembled and trucked to the new museum facility at Ashland, NE.

4 Aug 1945: TOS USAAF as B-29. April 1950: Converted at TB-29 for radar evaluation flights. 1959: Dropped from the USAF inventory and transferred to the Strategic Air Command Museum at Offutt AFB, NE. 1997: The plane was dismantled and trucked to the new SAC Museum facility at Ashland, NE. From 2010 to by 2017 the plane was completely restored as "Lucky Lady."

17 Jan '45: TOS USAAF as B-25J and assigned to the Air Technical Service Center, Brookley Field, AL. April/45: Place in storage with several units. October/51: Converted to TB-25J. 5/53: Upgraded TB-25L. 6/53: Converted it to TB-25M radar trainer. April/55: Wright Air Development Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH; converted to ETB-25M. March/56: Redesignated JTB-25M. September/59: SOC and ferried to the SAC Museum, Offutt AFB, NE. By 1994: Painted it in bogus desert camouflage scheme and named "Desert Doom" with a skull and crossbones painted on the nose. 1997: Trucked to new museum facility in Ashland, NE.

3 Apr 1945: TOS USAAF as B-17G. Many non-bombing units operated this plane. Mar-Jun 1950: Converted to DB-17G, and later DB-17P, and operated with drone squadrons. May 1958: SOC at Patrick AFB, issued as a museum piece. May 1959: Strategic Air Command Museum, Offutt AFB, NE. 1997: Moved to new museum location in Ashland, NE. May 1999: Modified back to B-17G configuration.
