Ex-F-BKFA, French AF 196. Displayed on the site of a new "Trago Mills" out-of town shopping centre by entrepreneur Charles Robertson and used as a part of his "anti-crat" campaign, directed at the local planning authority. The sign declares "Messerschmitt-Nord 108, Civilian Development of the Famous German Fighter Messerschmitt 109". Nonsense, of course. Registration cancelled on 24 March 1976 on sale to the USA. (Note that I recorded the c/n as 283 in my log book at the time, but of course I can't remember where I found that number.)

KKK carries no sinister connotations in Australia and this VH-KKK was the third. Registered in June 1965, the Bonanza was particularly accident-prone in the late 1970s, , with incidents in 1977, 1978 and 1979 that resulted in periods off the register. Since January 1980 all has been well and was current in October 2017.

VH-CDM was registered in 1960, a rebuild of VH-BAP which had suffered an accident in 1948. The official MSN is DHA1028 but the airframe is believed to largely comprise DHA589. The previous RAAF serial given for this aircraft is A17-414, which was DHA589.
