Just to confuse matters, this is actually the second Auster J/5 to be registered as VH-KSL, the original being SOR in 1957. This aircraft was imported new by the Australian Auster agents Kingsford Smith Aviation and registered as VH-KSP on 8 Nov 1948. For some reason it was re-registered as VH-KSL in 1992, VH-KSP being taken up by another newly-imported Auster J/5 a month later!

Just to confuse matters, this is actually the second Auster J/5 to be registered as VH-KSL, the original being SOR in 1957.
