General Aircraft-built Firefly FR.1 on finals to Ringway's Runway 20, now closed, during a major overhaul at Manchester by Fairey Aviation.

Wartime-built as Firefly F.1 and still wearing remnants of old style roundel and fin flash. Newly converted at Stockport and Ringway to T.1 trainer standard with second raised cockpit. After a respray, it will be delivered to RNAS Abbotsinch and then operated by 766 Naval Squadron at RNAS Lossiemouth, Scotland.
