Former registrations include: N359PS, N181US, and G-FLTD. Delivered to Aerovías DAP on December 2007, passed on to Antarctic Airways on July 2011. Painted with King Penguin livery. In my opinion, a beautiful livery.

Formerly stored at MNAE (Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio) in Los Cerillos. Repainted with other FACH colors and moved to its final resting home at "Los Cerrillos" subway station in 2018.

Former Chilean Air Force 143 and then 189. Currently operates for the Club Aéreo de Santiago (markings under the canopy have peeled off and cannot be seen).

Former US Army Air Force 42-68775. Converted to DC-3A for Pan American on August 1949 as NC49549 then to Whitbeck Aircraft with same registration. Delivered to Chilean Air Force as 955 on February 1953. Dumped in Las Condes in 1977, and now forms part of the Club Palestino in Santiago de Chile. It has been converted to be a playhouse for club members.

CC-CBW (ex USAAF 43-49443) arrived at the museum by the mid 1990s. Since then it has been slowly shedding major components in the dump area attached to the museum. The forward fuselage is missing in this photo.

Chile was one of the very few military operators of the Beech 99A. Nine were delivered in 1970/71 and initially flown by Grupo 11 at Quintero, the last aircraft was finally withdrawn in 2010. 308 was placed onto the civil register in March 2000 as CC-KIW for operation by the Chilean Army Aero Club and sold to a private operator in November 2003 as CC-PLL. Registered in March 2005 to Mansfield Heliflight in the US as N391MH and returned to Chile as CC-CFM with Inversiones Aereas Patagonia (Aerocord) in January 2007. Crashed and destroyed shortly after take off from Puerto Montt in July 2008.

EX RAF XH166, one of three PR.9s delivered to Chile in October 1982. One was written off in May 1983 and the two survivors are with the Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio at Los Cerrillos. 341 has been in the museums storage compound since at least 1996 and is still believed to be present there at time of upload.

Second DC-3 in Chile, from 1946, ex 45-990. Not a paramilitary aircraft - the circular LAN logo was never the air force roundel. Photographed by the globetrotting Sophie Petersen probably in 1952 at 'Balmacedas'. Balmaceda was a stop on the Santiago - Punta Arenas route. We understand that the airfield was once called Leonor, but it is assumed to be the same location as modern SCBA. CC-CLL to CC-CLDH in 1957 and to CC-CBN in 1963. Withdrawn in 1976. Delivered new 1st Aug 2006 and officially merged into Latam May 2016 but the aircraft remained in full LAN livery for a few years after the merger.
