SE-DAS was one of 17 DC-0-41s delivered to SAS in 1974 with Y122 seating for domestic services, replacing DC-9-21s which were to be used for thin international services, and also replacing the last Caravelles in the SAS fleet. SE-DAS had the name "Gardar Viking". 1984 SE-DAS was repainted to the colours on this photo, and reconfig CY105. April 1988 SE-DAS was named "The Viking King" for the Swedish King's official visit to the USA. It was not renamed to "Gardar Viking" again until 1990. First flight October 7th 1981 and delivered to Swissair as HB-INP October 30th 1981 and named "Oberglatt". Augsut 14th 1997 N9229TW TWA and converted to MD-82. December 2nd 2001 N9229TW American Airlines fleet no 4UV. April 2003 Wfu after more than 20 years in the air and stored at Roswell in May 2003. June 2006 bnougth by Jet Midwest, but later broken up. Seen taxing to depart rwy 24 this grey monday in May 1989.

First flight March 3rd 1988 as F-WWEI, and delivered new to Pan Am Express March 31st as N4207G and based at Tempelhof airport in Berlin. Pan Am started services from Tempelhof to FBU in 1988, and this one was quite new when I photographed it in September 1988. December 1991 N4207G Trans World Express. Returned to ATR as F-WQBV. February 1997 YR-ATY for TAROM Seen on final approach rwy 06 arriving from Berlin- Tempelhof.

First flight February 5th 1976, and delivered new to Finnair as OH-LYP February 20th 1976. June 1977 N9MD leased to Toa Domestic. October 28th 1978 OH-LYP Finnair (returned). 1998 OH-LYP flew with orange logo for Stockholm as European Cultural Capital 1998. May 2003 wfu and stored at Helsinki. April 24th 2004 UR-CCT UM Air.2009 wfu and stored at Kiev and has remianed derelict there for many years. Seen taxing out for the morning departure back to Helsinki from rwy 24.

HB-IIB caught at Stavanger Sola for an engine change devoid of any markings other than the registration. Previously it carried full TEA Switzerland colours with a red Swiss flag-style flag. Later in the summer of 1998, it received TEA Switzerland stickers on both fuselage and tail.

Tower Air came twice averey sunday in May 1989, one from JFK and one from Miami. This photo is my first photo of a 747 at Fornebu, seen before the returnflight via Arlanda back to JFK. (Part ot the "Charter 89") when GEN was closed uintil September 15th 1989.

First flight at Renton May 21st 1989 and was deliverd new to Braathens SAFE June 7th 1989 named "Eirik Blodøks". LN-BRA was the first 734 to BU. May 1st 1999 OO-VEK Virgin Express. October 2000 OO-VEK leased to Ciry Bird for one year.. March 25th 2007 OO-VEK Brussels Airlines transferred.. June 28th 2012 wfu, ferried to Marana, USA, and broken up in 20013. Photographed the first day it was in service, waiting for first flight to Palma. From May 2n 1989 the old part of FBU was used for Charter flights due to Gardermoen was closed due to new rwy asfalt at GEN. Tower Air 747 N601BN seen behind.

The final arrival at Sola for the Musum. 01-06-2020 N151 took off from Faribanks, and after ca 30 minutes had to return and go back due to a problem with engine no 3. After approx two hours it took off again and flew to Yellowknife in Canada, which was the final stop before an alomst 15 hours flight across the Atlantic and after a lowpass at Bergen, it came for a lowpass along rwy 18 at Sola, before tunring and arriving rwy 36, shown by these photos. The "QRILL PET ARCTIC WORLD SERIES" is an important sign of how this ferry flight was made possible.

June 18th 1997 G-BGJE was rolled out with this Hong Kong "Redevuz" tail created by Yip Man-Yam. January 20th 2001 ZS-SIU Safair (leased to SAA until Augsut 2004). January 24th 2006 HC-CFL Icaro Air. June 2011 wfu and stroed. In stead of flying the scheduled returnflight to LGW, it was towed to the old part of airport, and the BU hangar probably due to some kind of snag, and did not leave before the next day.

N151 seen at the lowpass it made along rwy 18 before its final lading at rwy 36.. To me personally, it was a tremendous joy to be there and watch it come and arrive after its final flight, led by Robert Everts, the chief of Everts Air Cargo who said "I could gladly have flown this aircaft to Las Palmas" after he had arrived with this beautufil DC-6B repanited as it was when it left BU in 1971 as LN-SUB. Now it has been beautiful restored even inside and will soon be under roof at Sola Air Museum, led by real Aviation enthusiasts. In the pandemic: "The Old one flies, while new ones are grounded

First flight at Schipol as PH-EXC at August 23rd 1988. deliverd new to busy Bee september 7th 1988 as the first of 5 Fokker 50s, LN-BBA. October 1991 leased to Widerøe, and op as LN-BBA in WF colours until BS went bankrupt in December 1992. 1993 LN-BBA was transfreed to Norwegian Air Shuttle as the first F50, opf BU on regional routes. May 2004 ST-ARG Mid Airlines. Seen taxing out for a rwy 24 deaparture in its frist month of operations, and used to replace F.27s on SAS routes to Haugseund or Gothenborg before SAS got their F50s.
