Built in 1944 and served with both the USAAF and US Navy. Later it was repainted in the beautiful gold/black livery of Seaboard World and, being a common sight in Europe, was listed in the Ian-Allan spotters books in the 1960s. On 21 February 1973 it crashed at Barrancabermeja, Columbia after an engine failed.
