Manufactured by Douglas Aircraft Company Inc, Santa Monica, this C-54 was delivered US Army Air force 14/5/1945 war service serial 44-9126. Utilised for troop and cargo transport until 1971, this C-54 was retired and stored at Davis Montham Airbase in Arizona. In 1995 brought to Australia for Pacific island freight operations, then stored at Archerfield until being donated to HARS in 2008 and flown to Albion Park in December 2009, to be restored to flying condition.

Saw this aircraft during arrival to ATL Airport with LH 444 from Frankfurt on 20 October 2010. After a quiet night at the Best Western Hotel East Airport I drove to the airport. Luckily the A/C was still parked at ATL the next day.

Looking splendid in Qantas-livery, this DC-4 is owned by HARS and being worked on to return to flying condition.

Mr. Travolta taking off from 22R. The plane will be eventually set on display at the HARS Aviation Museum on Shellharbour Airport (WOL/YSHL) in Australia, formerly Wollongong - Albion Park. Originally the arrival of the 707 was planned for November 2019, but ferry flight has been delayed a few times.

Two hours earlier it was a beautiful sunny day - then the cloud arrived just before Mr John Travolta landed his beautiful 707! A typical English summer's day.

Qantas has sponsored John Travolta on a world tour, using his own aircraft. Built in September 1964, this aircraft was a welcome visitor at Edinburgh. It is named after his children Jett and Ella.

Delivered in 1945 to a 1944 USAAF order as 44-9126, this C-54 (DC-4) was put into storage at Davis Monthan in 1971. Sold in 1975 & reg N9013V, passing through numerous owners. Arrived Australia in June 1995 & re-reg VH-PAF to Pacific Air Freighters on 31 January 1996. Derelict at Archerfield for many years, donated to HARS in June 2008 & re-reg VH-EAY(4) on 23 June 2008. Under long-term rebuild, it has been partially re-painted in Airlines of NSW colours on the starboard side and Qantas colours on the port side.

Stopping for fuel at Dublin on the first leg of the long flight home to Australia, following restoration at Southend. This was the first of seven 707-138s ordered by Qantas and it was delivered to the airline in 1959 as VH-EBA.
