This F-104G, actually owned by the German Luftwaffe with shadow serial "20+21", was transferred later to the Republic of China Air Force in 1983 where it flew with serial "4368". On March 24th, 1990 it was lost when it crashed during bad weather into a field near Hsinchu Air Base. This slide is part of my private collection and picture was taken by Bob Boyd.

This F-104G, actually owned by the German Luftwaffe with shadow serial "20+21", was transferred later to the Republic of China Air Force in 1983 where it flew with serial "4368". On March 24th, 1990 it was lost when it crashed during bad weather into a field near Hsinchu Air Base. This slide is part of my private collection and picture was taken by Bob Boyd.

This P-47N-5-RE S/N 44-89320 was one of the last production Thunderbolts built at Republic Aviation in Farmingdale, NY. It is displayed in the markings of the 463rd Fighter Squadron, 507th Fighter Group while stationed at Ie Shima Island near Okinawa. Serial is painted under tailplane. It is still in potentially flyable state and when I photographed it in 1979 (see here) it carried registration N345GP. It spent its operational career with by the PR ANG after resignation as an F-47N in 1948. From 1954 it was preserved in Puerto Rico and was restored to flying condition in 1972
