16 Nov '44: TOS USAAF. 1949: Air Force Reserve; used for crew proficiency training. 1950: Sent to Japan, and throughout the Korean War it operated out of Japan and Korea. 1955: TOS Japanese Air Self Defense Force with s/n 51-1121. By February/69 to after November/77: JASDF Flight Check Squadron. 1980: Alaska Rental and Sales with c/r N5579Z. During the next few years Alaska Rental and Sales swapped this plane for a C-118 through the Air Force Museum Loan Program, and on 11 October 1986 a dedication ceremony was held for this plane at the Air Command Park, Hurlburt Field, FL, where it remains on display.

Ca.3/45: TOS USAAF as B-25J. Ca.1946: Redesignated TB-25J. Ca.1954: Converted to TB-25N. By 5/60: Turner AFB, GA. Last B-25 in the Air Force inventory. 21 May 1960: Last flight; Turner AFB to Eglin AFB, FL; a ceremony held presenting the plane to Valparaiso, FL. Present was the Commander of SAC's 822nd Air Division, Commander of Eglin AFB Air Proving Ground Center and four Doolittle Tokyo Raiders. Placed on display at Doolittle Memorial Park in Niceville, FL, still marked in its bare metal USAF scheme. 1974: Donated to Air Force Armament Museum. Repainted and marked as Doolittle's aircraft.

Initially registered to Shorts as G-BOEI in 1988, this machine became VR-BKL and later VP-BKL of Phillipine Als until May 1999. It transferred to D-CFLX to RAS - Rheinland Air Services from May 1999 to February 2002, then reverting to G-BOEI with BAC Air Express until January 2005. It then transferred to the U.S.A. as N3735W with Air Cargo Carriers in November 2005. On February 5th, 2006 it collided with sister-ship N372AC while positioning for an air-to-air photo shoot over Wisconsin and crashed near Watertown WI with the loss of all 3 souls on board

Ca.1953: Converted to a TB-25N crew trainer. 18 Nov '57: SOC. 1/58: Converted to air tanker with a 1,000 gallon tank; registered as N5256V. 2/62: Fitted it with agricultural spray bars. 1968: WFU and stripped of its engines and left derelict at Grass Valley. 1976-1980: restored to airworthy condition. 1980: Air Force Museum Loan Program. 8/80: Flew to Beale AFB, CA for display. 4/95: Trucked to Hurlburt Field, FL, where it was restored to B-25J configuration without a top turret.
