VH-FDA in service with the RFDS at Broken Hill before it was converted to a Mark 3A with dihedral on the tailplane. Reregistered VH-UNK in September 1967 so its former marks could be used on a new Beagle 206.
The personal aircraft of the Duke of Gloucester during the years he was governor-general of Australia. It was taken on charge by the RAAF and received the serial A74-1. This serial was never painted on the aircraft, which was returned to the RAF in January 1947. MW140 was withdrawn from use in 1952 and later scrapped.
The NSW was the only division of the RFDS to operate the Beagle 206, which it did from Broken Hill as replacement for DHA Drovers. VH-FDA ditched near Corfu on December 12, 1978, while being ferried back to the UK.
