Lancashire Aircraft used this Prospector as their agricultural sprayer demonstrator. Registration cancelled on 29 November 1968 on sale to the USA as N8395, where it is currently (2022) still active.

Registered in 1959 and here with the Lancashire Aircraft Co. of Blackburn who had taken over production from Edgar Percival. In 1968 it was exported to the USA and current as N8395 in 2022.

Powered by a GO-480-G1A6 Lycoming of 295hp to a three bladed prop. Its was registered as G-APWZ to Lancashire Aircraft Company, on 05 November 1959. First flew on 23 February 1960 and gained its UK C of A on 22 April 1960. It was on display at the 1960 Hanover Air Show. After a varied career it arrived by container, in a damaged state, at Napier in June 2002. It became ZK-PWZ on 17-10-2003 with Kairanga Aviation.

Built by Lancashire Aircraft at Blackpool after Edgar Percival Aircraft closed. Reregistered VH-DAV in August 1964.

The first Prospector built by Lancashire exhibited at the 1963 Biggin Hill Air Fair.

A real rarity, having just landed

This was the sole AS Cheetah-engined example of the Prospector to be factory built after the Lancashire Aircaft Co took over production of the type at their Samlesbury facility. Exhibited at the 1960 Farnborough SBAC show.
