A drone conversion from an FAW2, operated by RAE Llanbedr. Sold in November 1995, and broken up, the cockpit section being preserved. It is now (2020) owned by a private collector in Chatel-Saint-Denis, Switzerland.
Following the death in Jan 2013 of the museum's owner Peter Vallance, some exhibits went to other museums and collections. But this Sea Vixen remained with the museum and was still part of their inventory by Apr 2019. By that time it had been safely moved indoors.
Operated by RNAY Belfast Station Flight, and carrying the Red Hand of Ulster on the fin. Later used for ground instruction as 8803M, then used for fire training at Catterick, where it had perished by 1987.
