Original registration from 1930. Has been on and off register many times - last restoration in 2000. Based at Caloundra Queensland and while definitely not a De Havilland product was a welcome sight at the fly-in.

Sold in the US as N240G in 1966

The all-white VH-URH being loaded aboard the MV Macdhui for transport to Rabaul. It was a replacement for crashed Genairco VH-UNY but because General Aircraft was no longer in business, was built by Tugan Aircraft. Parts from -UNY used in the new aircraft. Genairco's own cabin model was like a Fox Moth, with the pilot in an open cockpit behind the cabin. Tugan put the pilot in the cabin with the passengers. Former VH-UUI became N240G in May 1966, but in this photo it does not appear to be carrying its new registration yet. This General Aircraft Company Genairco Cabin biplane was first registered in Australia as VH-UOH on 2 June 1930, and reregistered as VH-UUI on 24 Sep 1936. In the late 1980s it was acquired by Kermit Weeks. Note the landing gear struts, inboard top wing struts, window and tail shapes.

Built as VH-UOH in 1930 with open cockpits. Sold to Fiji Airways as VQ-FAC and operated as a floatplane. Sank May 22, 1933. Shipped to Sydney for rebuilding, finally reappearing in 1936 as VH-UUI with an enclosed cabin for two passengers and the pilot behind, DH Fox Moth style. By this time Genairco was out of business. -UUI remained on the register with a couple of breaks until 1966, Over the years the engine was swapped from a Cirrus Hermes to a Gipsy Major and a DH60 undercarriage fitted. It was sold in the US as N240G in May 1966. Now in storage at the Fantasy of Flight Museum, Florida.

I believe that this is the only Genairco still flying - in immaculate condition it attends a lot of local air shows and flyins
