First flew-6 Dec.1958 as N253V for Continental Airlines. Registered to Channel Airways as G-ATVR on -1 June 1966 and delivered to their Southend base the next day. When the company failed in March 1972, this aircraft was on a major check at their Stansted base, with no undercarriage or engines. It was fitted with an undercarriage and parked outside -5 July 1972, thereafter being taken to the Stansted Fire School, where it perished over the following years. Cancelled 14 March 1977 as PWFU.

Here on delivery ferry, it returned to the UK in 1966 for Channel Airways as G-ATVR. Scrapped at Stansted (EGSS) in 1980 (see Photo ID: 78799).
