First flew-6 Dec.1958 as N253V for Continental Airlines. Registered to Channel Airways as G-ATVR on -1 June 1966 and delivered to their Southend base the next day. When the company failed in March 1972, this aircraft was on a major check at their Stansted base, with no undercarriage or engines. It was fitted with an undercarriage and parked outside -5 July 1972, thereafter being taken to the Stansted Fire School, where it perished over the following years. Cancelled 14 March 1977 as PWFU.
