Ex RAF-Avia and originally with Aviacor - see my 1993 photo here. W/o at São Tomé in July 2017

Built in 1992 and delivered to Aviacor, going to RAF-Avia in April 2001 as YL-RAF. Briefly registered UR-CAE then reverted to the Latvian identity. Ferried to Zhulyany in November 2011 for overhaul for Pecotox Air as ER-AUL but by February 2012 had been painted in the striking orange and blue colours of Cavok Air. Registered UR-CKC from August that year (see my 2017 photo at Southend). W/o 29th July 2017 on take-off from São Tomé when the right engine suffered a bird-strike, aircraft overran runway, went down embankment and broke up. Wreck still there late 2024

Cavok Air suffered a birdstrike on the left engine during the take off run on 29 July 2017. The take off was aborted after V1 at a speed of 220 km/h and the aircraft was unable to stop, and dropped of the end of runway 29. A detailed summary of the crash can be found on the Aviation Safety Network website. Now 7 years later the airplane still remains on the ground at Sao Tome. From this angle the ripped of cockpit and left outer wing can clearly be seen.

Destroyed in a take off accident in 2017.

UR-CKC was Damaged Beyond Repair on 29 July 2017. Birdstrikes caused an aborted take-off. The location was the Atlantic island of Sao Tome.

Brought in the Kaunas football team to play Celtic in a Champions League qualifier. Note the clever way the tail pattern is formed: from the 'RAF' logo silhouetted and repeated many times.
