The full name on the aircraft is "The Original Eight ; Ellen Church, Ellis Crawford, Inez Keller, Margaret Arnott, Cornelia Peterman, Harriet Fry, Jessie Carter, Alva Johnson". Sold in 1985 it was leased first to Pan American World Airways. Retired by Polar Air Cargo, the aircraft was used by Prestwick Airport to train firefighters until broken up in 2017. The nose section is preserved at North East Land Sea and Air Museums located on the site of the former RAF Usworth/Sunderland Airport.

This ex-united frame went to Polar Air Cargo in March 1995. It was withdrawn from the fleet in March 2002 and stored in Polar colours with titles and logos painted over. It acquired these fake MK colours for an anti-terrorism training exercise. After its completion the markings were painted over and it then became all white. Alas, outside in the Scottish weather took its toll and the frame was rendered unsafe so scrappage followed in September 2017.
