Ex Polar Air Cargo but it has been withdrawn for many years and is now used as the airport firemen's training aid. Finally scrapped in 2017. It has been zapped by the local RN Seaking unit.

This is the 747F which was donated by Polar to Prestwick Airport for fire service training after retirement in 2002. It survived until cut up for scrap in 2017.

In the process of getting scrapped after many years as the airport firemen's plaything. Only the cockpit section escaped melting down. It was going to be turned into a glamping pod.

Withdrawn from service and used as the firemen's training frame. Now scrapped.

This ex-united frame went to Polar Air Cargo in March 1995. It was withdrawn from the fleet in March 2002 and stored in Polar colours with titles and logos painted over. It acquired these fake MK colours for an anti-terrorism training exercise. After its completion the markings were painted over and it then became all white. Alas, outside in the Scottish weather took its toll and the frame was rendered unsafe so scrappage followed in September 2017.

This old 741 was originally delivered to United in August 1970 as N4712U. It then went to Pan Am and flew with them as as 'Clipper Tradewind' until December 1991. Periods with Aeroposta and Kabo Air followed until freighter conversion and delivery to Southern Air Transport in March 1994. The plane was finally re-registered in March 1995 when it went to Polar Air Cargo as N852FT. It was withdrawn from the fleet in March 2002 and used as a training aid/film prop before the Scottish weather rendered it unsafe and scrappage followed in September 2017.

This Polar 747-100 was retired from service at Prestwick and this shot of it was just after it's registration and Polar titles were painted out, a little after this the four engines were replaced with ones that were unusuable and this aircraft is now used for training purposes and as a prop for film and Television work.
