On summer lease to Britannia from Eagle Air of Iceland. Britannia had a long history of subbing in extra lift for the summer months. Delivered new to Aer Lingus as EI-BEC on 08 Jun 1979. Leased by Eagle Air as TF-VLM from 02 Apr 1982 and subleased by Britannia till Oct 1982. Returned to Aer Lingus as EI-BEC on 31 Mar 1983. Leased to East West Airlines as VT-EWI on 08 Jan 1993. Returned as EI-BEC on 03 Jul 1997. To N1715T Ardennes Zeta Ltd on 21 Oct 1997. Leased to Kenya Airways as 5Y-KQK on 26 Jan 1998. Stored Nairobi NBO on 03 Oct 2010 and scrapped on 14 Sep 2012.

slide scan from the NK collection. - This Boeing 737 from 1979 started its airline life with Aer Lingus as EI-BEC, was leased to Eagle Air of Iceland and sub-leased to Britannia in 1982. The airliner was active until 2010, finally flying for Kenya Airways as 5Y-KQK. After a long period of storage at Nairobi, it was broken up in 2022.

Delivered new 8th June 1979, leased out as TF-VLM 2nd Apr 1982-31st March 1983 and as VT-EWI 8th Jan 1993-3rd July 1997. Became N1715Z 17th Oct 1997 for onward lease to Kenya Airways as 5Y-KQK 26th Jan 1998
